Progressive Solo

by Aleksandar-Sukovic | 16 October 2010

In this lesson you will learn a solo that combines alternate picking, sweep picking and 8-finger tapping in a way that requires you to rapidly shift from one to another. To be able to do that you will need an altered pick like the one I am using. The solo is composed for a progressive metal track. Since there is only progressive riffing, no specific harmonic progression, the solo is free from any chords, scales, modes...

If you have any questions, feel free to post a comment and I'll be happy to help you out.

The videos in the lesson are much higher quality than this preview.
