In this gypsy jazz lesson lesson we will explore the changes of the famous jazz standard “All Of Me” that almost every jazz/pop/rock musician should know. The authors are Gerald Marks and Seymor Simons and the song is written in 1931. "All Of Me" appears in most versions of the Real Book and it’s generally performed with a swing feel.
This lesson should help you a lot to improvise over gypsy jazz progression. In my gypsy improvisation I use various scales and also I use arpeggiated chords.
I have divided the composition into 7 slow/fast videos, each video contains 16 bars. I have included 3 videos for the main theme (2 for the main theme and one for the last 16 bars of the ending of the main theme) and 4 videos for the improvisations. I played 2 improvisations so there are 2 videos for each improvisation.
All the notes of the song and the improvisation are played with a SWING FEEL!!!
Good luck practicing and feel free to leave a comment or write to me on the L4G forum!
