This lesson demonstrates 5 fusion guitar licks. All these licks are in the key of A minor using mixed legato and hybrid picking technique.

These licks work the best over a minor 7 chord - in this case Am7 (A-C-E-G) chord.

Lick 1:

Based around the A Dorian Scale with some chromatic passing tones in it, for more fusion sound. Uses the legato and hybrid picking technique.

Lick2:

Based on the A melodic minor scale, and it sounds great over an Am6 or Am7 chord. Using some legato technique and hybrid picking as well, but you can also use alternate picking if you want to.

Lick 3:

Based around the A Dorian with some chromatic outside notes in it, played using legato and hybrid picking techniques

Lick 4:

Based on the A minor Pentatonic scale, using wide stretch fingerings. Instead of using the traditional 2 notes per string positions, it uses 3 notes per sting pattern and again legato and hybrid picking technique.

Lick 5:

Based around the A Dorian scale with a little chromaticism. Tricky legato-hybrid picking line, but again it could be picked if you want to.
