This is some examples over how to play over an odd time signature and place some arpeggios that are not the standard sweep shapes.
The two distinguishing features here are the use of the 7/8 time signature, and the different motion of the harmonies. The arpeggios move in different patterns and the result is that the interval between the notes changes every time. The idea was to create a web of sound where the two parts merge into each other.
