Here is my little introduction into "two handed tapping" technique - (both hands over fretboard). Playing this way you'll reach very interesting (more like keyboard) sound on your guitar...and it looks very cool on stage ;) Steve Vai does the same in his song "Bulding The Church" !
This lick shows simple arpeggios of G, D and A major chords... All these examples are "two notes per string" licks. It is not marked in tabs, but it is obvious that lower notes on strings are tapped using left hand fingers and higher using right hand fingers :) In this case we're playing 2 "neighbour" strings.
Start very slowly, pay attention on muting strings with your left hand palm while trying to play it clean as possible. When you get it sound clean, play it faster....and you'll see that is much easier to play faster...IMHO ;)
Full version of this lesson is now available on Live4guitar marketplace !!! Check it out here.
Keep on picking, sorry - tapping ,and see you next time! :)
