“Alien” is a track off Pennywise’s “Straight Ahead” album that was released in 1999 on Epitaph Records. It was Pennywise’s first song that reached mainstream radio.

Pennywise is a punk rock band from Hermosa Beach, California that formed in 1988. Between their 1991 self-titled debut and 2005’s “The Fuse” they have released an album every 2 years on Epitaph Records.

Considering Pennywise’s other songs, “Alien” is not that quick. It’s only about
80bpm but there are constant 16th notes which may put pressure on your picking hand. Build to tempo slowly, as per usual. Watch the videos, read the tablature and use the backing tracks and you’ll have the track under your fingers in no time.

Key: G minor

Tempo: 80bpm

Rock on,

Paul
