Hi guys and gals. This lesson 'Discovering Dorian' is a great introduction to some soloing ideas and techniques in a Jazzy fusion style. It uses a mixture between the Dorian and harmonic minor scales in the key of A minor.
Hello
This lesson is designed to extend your vocabulary of minor licks in a jazz fusion style. A basic eplanation of the Dorian scale is included in this lesson and a wide range of techniques is used common within this genre.
A few techniques have been taken from the classic blues/ rock soloing concepts such as common pentatonic and bending licks but also more advanced techniques such as legato, hybrid and tapping ideas have been included to create a challenge. A wide use of arpeggios in various positions are used and identified in the supplied documents.
