Hi!

In this new lesson I’ll be doing a solo in an acoustic with steel strings,

I’m using a very common chord progression using chords taken from C major, all of them are taken from the key, meaning that we are not using ANY alteration, and that goes for the solo as well.

All the notes from this solo are from the C major scale, BUT I’m using jumps and double-stops which make it a lot more interesting that only seeing the scale as continual notes.

Notice that I made very clear where the phrases start or end, and I created connectors between them, such as arpeggios, slides.

Also make sure you have the timing right for this lesson because sometimes that’s what holds you back when you want to sound with punch, and impact.

My playing with the right hand is purposeful and confident, and that shows in the final sound, so make sure you play the strings hard, they are not going to snap :P
